9/03 – Student & Faculty: Fall Research Grant Proposal Due
9/03 – Student: Mentor Recommendation for Fall Research Grant Proposal Application Due: Faculty Mentor Letter Submission Form
9/24 – Student: Mandatory Student Grant Recipient Meeting – 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm tentatively @ Laurel Forum

10/15 – Student: Fall Symposium Applications and Abstracts Due through the Symposium Website
10/15 – Student: Deadline to Indicate Intent to Submit to the Journal by filling out the form

11/05 – Student: Submissions to Capstone, URCAP’s journal, are due and must be submitted 5through Capstone‘s author/reviewer portal
11/05 – Faculty: University Research Scholar Nominations for December Graduation due. Students are automatically nominated for URS if they publish in Capstone and present their work at a UNCA Symposium. We recommend that faculty nominate students if they are unsure whether nomination is automatic.
11/07 – State of NOrth Carolina Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity Symposium (SNCURCS). Please reach out to Dr. Becca Hale (studentresearch@unca.edu) if you are interested in attending.

Presentation / Travel grant application for student presentation at conferences* (up to $750)
Borrow easels and poster boards using the loan request form at least one week prior to when they are needed.
